misc
Stuart got an early birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa during their stay. He couldn't get enough of it if I duct taped him on.
Whitney felt like she needed something to spruce up her bike while we were in the gift-giving mode. She now totes her stuffed kitty with her, up and down the block, day in and day out, in this
Handsome.
New.
Basket!
My big boy!
And Spencer has just added a few new looks to his lady-killer repertoire. Behold:
the "What's up ladies"
"the Smoulder" (thank you, Tangled)
"the Vibe" and man, is he sendin' in out.
What a handsome little guy.
Did I mention that his hair turned orange this week?

Sir Spencingham
This is kinda what he looks like these days. He grunts and stretches all his waking (and half his sleeping) hours, so its hard to get a picture that isn't mid-grunt/grimace.
Cute little guy... That is handsome in the making.

fun in the sun
Undoubtedly, the best part of living in West Texas is the fantastic spring weather. The landscape's not much to look at, but you can't beat jumping on the tramp in the sprinkler or filling the swimming pool in March (sometimes as early as February.)
Here's all the fun in the sun Spencer got last month.
(A little jaundice home-treatment.)
These pics are a few weeks old now of course. Look how tiny and furry he used to be.
Poor little guy looked like Benjamin Button with that wrinkled forehead and no baby fat. He's nice and round these days. I'll upload some recent pictures shortly.

hail, hail, the gang's all here!
Spencer managed to squeak out of the NICU by the hair of his teeth on Sunday afternoon! We love having him home finally. Whitney and Stuart are enamored.
They just can't kiss and pat and hug him enough.
Unbelievably tasty cheeks. Seriously.
I love it when they chortle in their sleep.
Cute just runs in the family.

welcome to the fam, little guy!
Spencer surprised us by arriving about 3 1/2 weeks early. He's beautiful and mostly healthy--although some sort of "congenital pneumonia" landed him a round of antibiotics in the NICU for a week. But he's progressing quickly and graduated today from the big fat CPAP to this sleek little nose tube thingy.
He also had his first bath, first tubal feeding, upgraded to a big-boy crib, and graduated to the second room of the NICU (I don't know understand the implications of any of that other than the fact that it is all positive.)
(He wasn't crazy about the sponge bath. )
This is actually pre-bath time. What a little angel face.
This is post-bath time. You can't see, but his hair is blond...for now.
And if you're interested, he was 6 lbs. 9 oz. and 19 inches.
