I wish I could remember to take pictures more often. So many fun things are missing from these. But here's what I've got.
Caci and Sena flew down to Texas all by themselves and stayed with us for 2 weeks. There was lots of swimming, baking, cooking, play writing/presenting, crafting, etc. Then we all drove up to Utah together for more fun.
This was a little family hike we did during the Porter family campout. The kids fell deeply in love with hiking and mountains and having easy access to cousins.
The kids love to visit BYU campus with us and eat donuts and creamery chocolate milk. A tradition that will surely bring great comfort to their homesick, freshman hearts someday, and padding to their homesick, freshman mid-sections.
First day of 2nd grade for Stuart, 3rd for Whitney and preschool for Spencer. (I can't resist his silliness. Whitney was just like this when she was 4. So much personality, so little memory on the camera.)
Then this happened:
Whitney and I both needed a PICC line of positive, soothing energy in our lives. Molly has been just the remedy we needed. She was the end result of a series of inspired thoughts, conversations, and events. We couldn't have come by her in any other way. Particularly because our previous dog experiences have been neither positive nor soothing.
Another fun year at the Round Rock Chalk Walk. This is my rendition of "Three Dancing Pigs" by Scott Gustafson. He's an abiding fave of mine. And he won me 3rd place. Thanks, Scott!
Lindsey, Jenner, and I had squares next to each other in a row. We chalked, chatted, lounged and laughed (and sweltered in the sun) for 2 days straight. BEST. WEEKEND. EVER.
Whit and Haven did a square together in the kids' section. Both are devoted and talented artists. Man, I love those girls.
This one is Lindsey's piece. I don't remember the original artist's name, but I have to say, Lindsey would have made her proud, and the size of it made it even more spectacular. Spectators oohed and awed all day long.
This is Jenner's piece. "The Kiss," originally by Gustav Klimt, clearly lacked a certain sophisticated and tender something, so Jenner opted to gild the lovers with Round Rock donuts. A visually fitting and worthy tribute. Her version was entitled "Donut Kiss." I love my talented friends. :)
Halloween 2015!
Stuart was Greystripe the cat, from his favorite book series, Warriors, about warring feral cat clans. Whitney was a witch and Spencer was a skeleton.
(I love this posture. He's such a cute little bag o' bones.)
Spencer and Stuart played t-ball and coach-pitch (respectively) this fall. I love sitting in lawn chairs with Rob watching them practice and play in the fall weather.
The kids took turns making each other breakfast in bed. So cute and sweet.
We took a trip to the Waco Zoo the day before Thanksgiving. The weather was perfect and we had the place practically to ourselves.
We had the Servinos and Michael Porter family over for Thanksgiving. Yep, this is the only pic I thought to snap.
And a few miscellaneous activities from Thanksgiving break:
