A Quick Recap: Spring 2014-Spring 2015

It was my original intention that this blog be mostly pictures with minimal words. I strayed heavily from that objective at times, but in an effort to return and repent of my long 19-month absence, I shall redouble my efforts to be brief and make this post a pictorial year and a half in review. With a few captions. Short ones though.

February 2014: Flew up to SD to be with my family for Grandma Whitney's funeral. So much laughter and happy reunions and wonderful stories. Funerals are terrible, wonderful things. (I'm off to a great start on brief captions.)

June 2014: Train ride at the Austin Animal Sanctuary.

Liza stayed with us for much of the 2014 summer and road tripped with us for Suzanna's wedding, of which I don't have any of my own pictures.

October 2014: Round Rock Chalk Walk. I did my first original work of art.

Halloween 2014: Harry Potter mania has begun.

November 2014: Flew out to visit Kristina for a few days and Jessica drove down for a slumber party.

funny

Spencer drew his first non-human. Its a ghost. With ears. SO cute.

Whitney is a clever, witty little artist.

Kristina and Olive came to stay with us over Christmas 2014. So much yummy food and fun!

The Bells, Eliza, Mom and Dad joined us shortly after Christmas for a trip to Sea World and the Alamo, followed by the baptism of Whitney and Sena.

We bought a house in February 2015. It has a second living space upstairs for toys and wii playing. It also has a spectacular playscape in the back yard complete with 3 swings and enough space remaining to finally have our trampoline back up. Turns out money can, in fact, buy happiness--in the form of space to spread out and preserve mommy's sanity.

Spencer wanted to be bald buddies with his dad. I'm happy to report that it is almost grown back to its glory days already.

Whitney took a hip hop class. She was so nervous for the recital but, when the time came, she stomped her trash out onto that stage and owned that performance like a boss. I cried. At a hip hop performance.

Spring soccer for Whitney and Spence, and coach-pitch baseball for Stu. He's in love.

Next up: summer and fall 2015. Back in a flash.
Sigh. Probably not though.
