Whitney has been potty trained now for maybe 6 months. With a little encouragement from Rob one day, she decided she was ready to use the big potty. The little training potty we bought her went entirely unchristened and we certainly didn't shed any tears over that.
Recently, she has relapsed significantly in her potty training and is back in training pants or diapers most of the day. In an effort to reignite her enthusiasm for peeing in the potty, I introduced her to her "small potty," which seems to be doing the trick.
Whitney, like most intelligent animals, prefers to poop in private. Consequently, she rarely asks for our help or company when she needs to do the dirty deed. This has never been a problem as she is a very efficient defecator and requires little to no wiping.
Today, after spending 45 minutes cleaning the bathroom, I heard the water run and the toilet flush and out walked Whitney.
Something seemed suspicious so I thought I'd better check it out.
Apparently, she dutifully emptied the contents of her little potty into the big potty--or onto the big potty, I guess. There was a very LARGE brown smudge on the rim and inner wall of my sparkly clean toilet where the turd must have landed and toppled in. (I hope it toppled; I HOPE it wasn't pushed.)
In the sparkly clean sink I found a tiny residual turd where she obviously (and very responsibly) rinsed out her little plastic toilet bowl before depositing it back into its rightful cradle, iced in its own brown smudges.
What a girl! She even thought to lift the seat on the big potty. Can you believe her attention to detail?!
My kid empties and cleans her own training potty. If you're jealous and you know it, clap your hands.
I won't be including pictures.

I could never bring myself to use the little potty chair but if my daughter had washed it out herself?...
